I was born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka (a little island in the middle of the Indian ocean).

I completed my undergraduate education with a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of London (LSE) and I am also a fully qualified accountant with my CIMA (UK) qualification.

My previous work experience is best described as eclectic; I have worked at:

My interests outside of academia include painting, hiking, cooking and learning a third and fourth language (Spanish and Korean respectively).
