"Honestly this was one of the best classes I’ve had. Great teacher, great structure, and a very informative and useful course content. Highly recommend, and this instructor is going to have a great teaching career."

"Hands down, Professor Paranavitana's classroom is the most connective class I've ever had at WVU. The use of Pear Deck along with Cengage and the individual slides she creates makes for an extremely easy–to–navigate learning/studying experience. Really, it's that good! She's also a fair teacher. Tests weren't the best, but to supplement, she gave plenty of bonus to help us. Her grading system is good as well. 25% for homework alone is excellent, but along with 25% for FRED and FOMC assignments, it really makes you feel like your effort in the the class is being graded rather than just tests. Because, let's be honest, not everyone is great at taking tests. That said, the tests were relatively stress–free. She gave us plenty of review material and the A+ exam prep on Cengage was well enough to get you an A if you put the time in to study. Another thing, Professor Paranavitana has a good attitude, which I think is often overlooked in professors. Having a professor that at least appears that they want to be there is nice. Professor Paranavitana gave us encouragement through the course, acknowledged holidays and academic recesses (a.k.a fall breaks) and worked assignments around those days, and sought out students who were performing poorly and tried to help them. That level of effort is commendable. She's an exceptional professor, definitely worthy of more praise than she gets now. She's by far what helped me learn the most during the semester. I mean, she even cared about which color marker showed up best on the board so we could see it better. Come on, that's some good effort there."

"The Tophats were well structured, along with supplementary videos and chapter videos that the professor posted. Also, the professor was available and quick in replying to emails. She provided lots of support during zoom calls and was very kind and encouraging."

"She was very descriptive and answered any questions my classmates or I had in detail in order to make sure we understood the information."

"The professor was very accommodating and always willing to explain the content more in depth when needed. It helped a lot that the instructor included everyday real life events into her teaching content."

"I was able to learn in this class due to its low stress environment and because of the different ways the material was brought up. Dinushka was aware when material seemed dry, and she tried to make it more interesting by using different teaching methods."

"Dinushka provided many opportunities for feedback and questions during this course. In my opinion, it's rare to have a college course where you can ask a question at any time, and it helped a lot with fostering a good learning environment. I thought she made the concepts easy to understand and took the time to break complex topics into their constituent parts. Also, the many real world examples of concepts were very helpful. I would take this course with Dinushka again."

"I believe that just her overall attitude towards economics made me want to excel in learning it"

"I believe that her lectures helped me learn she was very informative and did well relating to students and content"

"The slides being available on ecampus helped a lot with my learning as well as her ability to connect the course content to real world examples."

"Prof. Paranavitana made class fun and often connected the concepts we were to learning in class to real–world situations which made them much more easy to understand and remember."
